Asking this question is the quickest way to learn whether the problem stems from the job or it’s a personal one. If the job is the source of the problem, work with him or her to make adjustments.
*Is there anything you’d like to change about your job?
You might discover that a small adjustment can improve this individuals satisfaction level.
*Do you feel that you’ve received adequate training and feeback to do your job effectively?
Perhaps this staff member feels overwhelmed in their position.
*Do you feel I’m providing the support you need?
Encourage the employee to be honest about what you can do to help him or her be more successful and to create a more positive work experience.
